Our honey bees are good tempered, productive, and ideal for those starting out in beekeeping.
All our queens are Buckfast, raised locally from selected stocks.

2021 10 hives with colonies
10 hives with colonies for sale, collectively or as
individual hives. For sale due to retirement from beekeeping.
Each hive will contain:
Floor, brood and a half, excluder, 2 x supers, crown board and
roof. Will all contain eggs, brood, sealed brood and food. Any honey in
supers will go with the hive. These are productive colonies which could
provide further honey crop this summer.

2018 10 national frames Nuc for sale Leicester.
This is not a swarm but split from my prime hive the queen is Buckfast 2018 marked White.
Very productive and easy to handle, all frames have full broods, are full of bees and a good stock of honey.
The colony is strong and they need to be hived very soon.

2015 Bees for sale - colony + spare kit - bee keeper giving up
I have developed a reaction to bee stings, so I have decided to sell up.
I have one colony of bees in a National hive on brood and a half (the brood is in a brood box and a super) on a hive stand that currently has three supers on. The bees are well tempered with a Buckfast queen, overwintered for 2 years. Queen is 3 next year.
I also a spare hive with frames (floor, Brood box, frames with foundation, queen excluder, crown board and roof) to go with the above and sundry equipment - hive tool etc.

2015 Top Bar Nucs
Currently I have 3 spring colonies (building up nicely), each with a laying intact unmarked queen, for sale. These are 17" top bar nucs with 5 bars (though depending when they are collected there may not be comb on all the bars). Comb is only connected to the top bars and occasionally braced to the sloping sides so they cannot be posted but should be collected from north west Leicestershire (near M1 J24). On the border between Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire
£225 per colony (£25 deposit in advance £200 on collection) plus £50 refundable cash deposit on the nuc box, cash on collection.
These colonies are from sustainably managed hives that have all overwintered at least one winter and have never needed chemical treatment.

They comprise solid floor, brood box, queen excluder, one super with drawn comb, crown board and roof. I would like £250 each (£25 deposit in advance and £225 on collection).
I will deliver up to 50 miles for another £25, or they can be collected. I am located in West Leicestershire.
The queens are last years and are all marked. They are descended from Buckfast queens originally purchased from Ged Marshall.

2014 17' top bar hive with bees
I have a Cornish top bar hive, complete with a full colony of bees which were inspected at the end of
last year. The colony overwintered from last year and is growing strongly. Comb is connected to the
top bars with occasional bracing to the sides.
I am selling the bees along with the hive (purchased 2 years ago from Cornwall honey). The bars are 17"
and the hive has an observation window.
The hive will need to be collected from South Leicestershire near the M69/A5 junction. The buyer will require s
uitable transport as the legs detach from the inside and can not be removed while the hive is occupied.
The bees are in good health and have never required treatment.
