Poly Hive: Paradise Honey, British National size, from Modern Beekeeping.
One of my very best full live production colonies, complete with 4 drawn supers and 1 empty super (for winter feeding as an eke), in good condition and painted green.
With open mesh floors, varroa trays, excluders, perspex crown boards etc
Also-
A full size feeder.
A clearer board.
A box of fondant (12.5kg).
Plus-
An empty Poly nuc box, (BS Honey Bees, British National size) with associated feeder - useful for swarm control and increase.

Note from me...
I have kept bees for many years, but upcoming retirement, downsizing and a bad back is forcing this sale.
These bees are well tempered and of my own raising.
They are well treated for Varroa and have had regular checks from the bee inspector.
I usually go through the bees with ungloved hands so overly aggressive colonies are not tolerated!
They have produced very good quantities of honey over the years, and could more than pay for themselves over a year or two.
They are very accessible for collection.
My apiary is only 5 minutes from Junction 36 of the M6. (Kendal, Cumbria).
Please note it will be a 'new' queen (for marking green) - in her first full season.

I have some surplus overwintered Nucs.
I made them up last year and all are headed by marked queens, raised by me last summer.
I usually work through my bees without gloves, so aggressive bees are not tolerated. New queens are raised from my gentlest stocks.
They have all been treated for Varroa.
They are on 6 Hoffman self-spacing frames, British National size.
The price is £250 -if you return the poly nuc box. (£20 in advance £230 on collection)
There is an additional £60 refundable deposit on the poly nuc box.
I do however recommend keeping the poly nuc box, complete with feeder - it is a very useful bit of kit!
